We are seeking a proactive and experienced Field Training Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a qualified Wastewater Pump Engineer with a strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) background and current 18th Edition electrical certification. You will support the onboarding and upskilling of field engineers across the UK through hands-on training, technical mentoring, and operational support.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Deliver field-based technical training and mentoring to new and existing engineers on wastewater pump systems.
Provide real-time coaching on M&E best practices, fault diagnosis, commissioning, and servicing of pumping stations.
Assess competence and provide feedback to management on engineer development progress.
Support with the creation of technical training materials and SOPs.
Assist with complex installations and emergency breakdowns as required.
Ensure compliance with H&S, environmental, and electrical safety regulations on site.
Liaise with internal departments to ensure training content reflects operational standards and customer needs.
What we look for:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical & Electrical engineering, ideally in pump or wastewater environments.
Qualified to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent M&E qualification.
Strong understanding of pump systems including submersible, centrifugal, and dosing systems.
Confident in interpreting electrical schematics and performing fault-finding.
Demonstrated ability to train, coach, or mentor colleagues or apprentices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Full UK driving licence.
