Rose Catering are a well-established location caterer who provide great food to film and TV crews across the UK.
We are looking for an experienced Chef, preferably with event catering experience, who is passionate about food and service. This is an exciting, fixed term role with the potential to be extended if you make a great impression!
It would be a bonus if you have HGV/C1 or 'Grandfather rights' on your licence to drive our kitchen trucks (7.5 tonne/HGV) and move our vehicles with the catering team and be willing to work alongside our Head Chef/Manager to gain knowledge and experience in location catering.
A driving licence is a "must have" as is your own transport - there are often early starts and some night shoots and some locations can be quite remote.
What we look for in a chef:
Experience working as a chef, preferably in events/location catering
Have a passion for food and providing the best customer service
Minimum Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene
Driving license and own transport - HGV Class 1 / Grandfather rights on licence prefererred
Awareness of basic transportation law: driver safety, tachograph's, walkaround checks and driver hours (training will be provided)
Flexible, reliable, and a can-do attitude
Be an active hands-on team player with excellent communication skills
UTR Number - This is a self-employed position
Duties include:
Serving cast and crew with a smile!
Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients
Assisting the Head Chef with washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking hot and cold food both on the mobile food kitchen, and at the front of house area
Helping to prepare salads and desserts
Disposing of rubbish
