Rose Catering are a well-established location caterer who provide great food to film and TV crews across the UK.

We are looking for an experienced Chef, preferably with event catering experience, who is passionate about food and service and a willingness to work away from home as we can work anywhere from Edinburgh to Plymouth. This is an exciting, fixed term role with the potential to be extended if you make a great impression!

The right candidate will be willing to work alongside our Head Chef/Manager to gain knowledge and experience in location catering, including allergen training to understand special dietary requirements to ensure the daily menus are adapted accordingly. With this role, there is also the potential to progress to Head Chef/Manager and run your own kitchen with your own team!

A driving licence is a "must have" as is your own transport - there are often early starts and some night shoots. The catering team move with the production so at times you will be required to drive the catering vehicle. HGV licence or Granddad rights unto 7.5 tonnes would be helpful.

What we look for in a chef:

- Have a passion for food and providing the best customer service

- Experience working as a chef

- Minimum Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene

- Driving license and own transport

- Experience in ordering, budgets and stock control

- Flexible, reliable, and a can-do attitude

- Be an active hands-on team player with excellent communication skills

- Willingness to travel with accommodation provided

- UTR Number - This is a self-employed position

Duties include:

- Serving cast and crew with a smile!

- Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic

- Sorting, storing and distributing ingredients

- Assisting the Head Chef with washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking hot and cold food both on the mobile food kitchen, and at the front of house area

- Helping to prepare salads and desserts
