About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified/post qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) candidate to join a very well-established team in the Commercial and Central Accounting function. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be joining one of the fastest growing global tech solutions companies, working alongside forward thinking and progressive individuals with a growth mindset.

You will work closely with broader finance teams such as local Payroll specialists, Commercial Finance Business Partners, Benefits team, AP, Cash Management, Central Payroll Accounting team and other Group Finance teams.

As the Finance Accountant (Payroll Accounting), you will take ownership of the end-to-end international payroll accounting process for multiple locations worldwide which includes journals, allocations, reconciliations. You will prepare and maintain high quality balance sheet recs as well as getting involved with interim and year-end reporting and audit. The right person will have the opportunity to get involved in new and exciting transformation
projects which will significantly add to your existing skillset.

Accountabilities

  • Preparing and posting various payroll journals for bi-weekly and monthly international payrolls
  • Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Working to the period-end close calendar timelines
  • Business partnering with the relevant Finance teams, including understanding the processes for the international payrolls in detail and improving period-end payroll processes
  • Investigating and resolving issues relating to international payroll, this will entail working closing with local payroll specialists to resolve issues identified
  • Support the Half Year and Year End close process.
  • Support in providing payroll numbers for all disclosures in the annual report and statutory accounts
  • Supporting the Central Payroll Accounting team members to undertake necessary day-to-day transactional activity of the team
  • Escalating issues with relevant senior management and helping resolve them
  • Proactively identifying problems and opportunities to standardise, streamline and improve processes and accuracy of payroll numbers
  • Produce adhoc reporting where required
  • Ensure accounting policies set by the in-house technical team are adhered to
  • Contribute to building a high performing and engaged team

About you
  • A relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and a good understanding of regulatory environments
  • A good understanding of core financial processes and procedures
  • Working knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations, journals, helping with end of year procedures and audit
  • Experience of process improvement and automation is advantageous
