Job Description
Main responsibilities:
- Supporting the UK regional business with all finance and accounting activity.
- Managing x4 direct reports- all Financial Operations Accountants
- Responsible for all finance operations in the UK business working as part of the global Group Finance function.
- Accountable for operational accounting transactions under IFRS and UK GAAP including EPM reporting monthly/annually.
- Legal entity reporting and production of legal financial reports for UK GAAP audits and sign offs by Managing Directors.
- Supporting and driving process changes.
In this role you will be responsible for the Finance Accounting Operation activities within the UK regional function. This will include IFRS and UK GAAP and preparation of statutory accounts. You will also manage the Accounts Receivable/Payable, general ledger accounting.
The experience required: * Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA or similar)
- Experience in industry (preferably oil and gas but not essential)
- People management and development skills
- IFRS and UK GAAP
- Statutory Accounting experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management are required.
- Experience using SAP, Microsoft Excel
- Proactive and motivated person with a drive to improve Finance Accounting Operations processes.
- An open and flexible mindset and the company is constantly changing and evolving.
- Hands on approach.
