Priory Hospital Stockton is looking to recruit a finance administrator to join the team. This is a part time role of 18 hours per week. We are extremely flexible, however we would require full working days on Mondays, the rest of the hours could be split across the week.



Priory Stockton Hall is a long-serving medium secure hospital based in a quiet but well-connected village near the historic city of York. It serves the local Provider Collaborative and multiple National Collaboratives, depending on clinical need, and has had a long-running record of successful patient pathways.

What you'll be doing





You'll be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, all working together to ensure the smooth running of the hospital and to support the wellbeing of our patients. While your role doesn't involve providing direct care, your contribution is vital in helping to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for everyone. Whether you're assisting with day-to-day operations, keeping things organised, or ensuring our spaces are well looked after, your support plays an important part in creating a positive experience for those who live and work here.Initiates and progresses applications for welfare benefits on behalf of patients, working as the patients advocate and the units appointed representative in all dealing with the DWP, NHS and other bodies. Manage the deposit of patient cash, cheques and other receipts and the withdrawal of funds on a daily basis. Processing weekly and monthly payroll Maintains payroll processing system and records by gathering, calculating, and inputting data Coordinating with the HR team to ensure employee related data is correctly loaded into the Priory Payroll System, and that all necessary amendments have been completed by the payroll cut-off dates Liaising with Ward Managers to ensure permanent employees are rostered a minimum of 8-12 weeks in advance including appropriate planning for holiday and training Receives and coordinate requests for leave and other absences

What you'll bring to the role





Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.Good standard of general education with GCSE or equivalent in maths and English. Competent in the use of payroll software and Microsoft office. Able to be responsive to time critical situations and capable of Working with Minimal Supervision. Excellent administrative and Record-Keeping skills.
