The Buckinghamshire Building Society is looking for an enthusiastic Finance Analyst to join its busy Finance Department. This role forms a crucial part of the finance team at the Buckinghamshire Building Society. As a financial services firm operating in a highly regulated environment, the demands of the role are high. Properly controlled processes and rigorous application of company policy and procedure is of critical importance. Meeting the high standards of our regulators and stakeholders is necessary to maintain our licence to operate. The main responsibilities of the Finance Analyst will include:

Managing the monthly accounts close process, ensuring that all transactions are accurately accounted for and accounts are prepared and reconciled in a timely manner.

Responsibility for the accurate maintenance of designated General Ledger accounts, including timely and regular reconciliation and analysis.

Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual management reports and analyses.

Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual regulatory returns and analyses.

Support the Finance Operations Analyst with daily banking duties (accounts reconciliations, cash reconciliation, accounts payable etc).

Support the preparation of the Company's financial plans, budgets and forecasts.

Support the production of published annual accounts.

Liaise with Internal and External auditors where required.

To provide accounting support to Finance and other business areas where required.

The ideal candidate will have:

This is a graduate entry level position and includes a training contract where the candidate will have the opportunity to study towards an accountancy (or equivalent) qualification Bachelor's degree, preferably in a STEM discipline Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and liaise with all departments across the Society Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office)
