Job Overview
Prepare, analyse, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) across the organisation on a monthly and quarterly basis.
Conduct weekly monitoring of sales and margin performance, highlighting trends, variances, and commercial implications.
Deliver monthly cost centre reporting with insightful commentary to support effective budgetary control and financial accountability.
Prepare monthly management accounts and executive-level analysis to inform decision-making.
Develop quarterly accounts packs to provide deeper insight for strategic planning and performance evaluation.
Analyse payroll costs and workforce expenditure to support financial forecasting and resource planning.
Undertake financial appraisals of capital investments and conduct post-implementation reviews.
Carry out competitor benchmarking and market analysis to support commercial positioning.
Support the statutory accounts process, including preparation of schedules and liaison with external auditors.
Contribute to ad hoc financial projects and cross-functional initiatives, ensuring Finance plays an integral role in business change and growth.
Minimum Criteria To Apply
We're looking for a finance professional with at least two years' experience in financial analysis or management accounting, ideally within FMCG or retail. You'll have a solid grasp of reporting cycles, cost centre management, and statutory accounts, with experience supporting audits.
Advanced Excel skills are essential, along with confidence handling large data sets to deliver clear insights that support business performance. Accuracy, attention to detail, and a commercially focused, problem-solving mindset are key to success in this role.
You should be highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities, and an effective communicator who can translate financial information for non-finance colleagues. A collaborative, flexible approach is important, and while experience with SAGE 200 is an advantage, it's not essential.
