The role
We have an opportunity for 2 Finance Analysts to join the ITV Studios team (the programme making arm of ITV) on a temporary (12 month FTC) basis. Reporting to the Head of Finance, with day to day activities managed by the Finance Manager, this role is responsible for a wide range to activities including preparing and delivering month end processes and reporting, supporting forecasting and budgeting cycles, ensuring the smooth running of the day to day finance activities within the labels, and undertaking ad-hoc analysis, reporting and information to support business strategy, decision making and audit reviews.
One of the Analysts will cover a number of labels within the Unscripted Business, including Potato, 12 Yard and So Television which produce programmes for Broadcasters such as ITV, Netflix, Discovery, BBC and Channel 4. The other Analyst will cover ITV Daytime which includes shows like Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering the month-end reporting process across a number of labels ensuring

that the P&L and balance sheets are correctly consolidated into the group finance systems.

• Alongside the Finance Manager, provide analysis and information on revenue recognition, development costs, staff recoveries and overheads expenditure. This will involve partnering with different areas of the business including Creative, Production, Business Affairs and HR and our Business Service Centre.

• Raising invoices and PO\xe2\x80\x99s for both internal and external productions and preparing journals as required.

• Play a key part in the budgeting and forecasting cycles with responsibility for ensuring the system shows the expected outlook, and provide support with reporting and analysis.

• Supporting the Finance Manager with audit preparation and queries.

• Prepare the reporting of royalties for third party invoicing.

• Responsible alongside the Finance Manager and Senior Production Accountants in ensuring that programme accounting is closed in a timely manner and balances are correct on the balance sheet.

• Support with any ad-hoc requests and become a \xe2\x80\x98go-to\xe2\x80\x99 member of the finance team for the labels.

Skills you\xe2\x80\x99ll need (minimum criteria)

• Ideally a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), but would consider applications from an individual qualified by relevant industry experience to deliver the responsibilities outlined above.

• Strong analytical skills and familiarity with accounting and financial concepts.

• Proficient in the use of accounting systems, preferably with experience in Oracle Fusion and smart view.

• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and PowerPoint and the equivalent Google Drive Cloud-based products.

• Strong communication and organisational skills with an ability to prioritise workloads and adapt to changing requirements.

• Confident in leading investigations into a wide range of ad hoc queries with the enthusiasm to \xe2\x80\x98get stuck in\xe2\x80\x99 and support the team.

• Able to build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues across the business to develop a strong supportive network.

• Focused on looking for continual improvement within our reporting and processes to drive efficiencies.

• Experience of working in the Film and TV production industry would be desirable.
