Isomorphic Labs (IsoLabs) was founded in 2021 and is led by Sir Demis Hassabis. Our aim is to usher in a new era of biomedical breakthroughs and find cures for some of humanity's devastating diseases.



Our foundations are built on the success of Google DeepMind's AlphaFold, but we didn't stop there! We are continuing to develop and implement state-of-the-art technologies as we move towards our goal of dramatically accelerating and improving the process of designing and bringing new medicines to patients.



We have built a world-leading drug design engine comprising foundational AI models that are capable of working across multiple therapeutic areas and drug modalities. Your impact





As a member of the Finance team, you will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of Isomorphic Labs. You will work collaboratively across the company to ensure expenses are accurately budgeted, forecasted, and reported.



The role will include financial analysis including budget management, variance analysis, forecasting and reporting (both recurring and ad hoc) and operational activities such as raising POs, troubleshooting invoices, supporting supplier enrollment, and monthly accruals. In addition to supporting the Finance team, you will also spend ~25% of your time supporting the Legal team with various tasks related to contracting, compliance, and other legal administration.



An ideal candidate would be detail and process oriented, able to follow existing processes, while at the same time demonstrating an ability to identify and implement improvements.

What you will do




Finance duties [~75% of time] + Ensure payment timeliness and accuracy by managing POs and troubleshooting invoices
+ Support the business by setting and tracking budgets
+ Own various monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting
+ Serve as the key point of contact for business partners to ask FinOps-related questions

Identify areas of process improvement and work collaboratively to implement them
+
Legal team support duties [~25% of time] + Support the transactions teams with deal workstreams including project administration, due diligence, and approvals
+ Support compliance and risk management functions to review and maintain governance policies, risk assessments and compliance programs
+ Support engagement of various professional services firms and individuals, including onboarding, matter creation, and tracking
+ Partner with broader Operations teams in developing, monitoring, and measuring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and corporate objectives

Skills and qualifications




Essential:




Experience working in a finance function (e.g. in AP, AR or similar) Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or a related field or finance/accounting related accreditation (e.g. qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, etc.) Extensive experience with G-suite, especially Sheets and Slides Detail oriented and a willingness to work in the weeds A positive, collaborative approach to work Ability to learn and navigate complex systems and processes

Nice to have:




Experience in biotech or drug discovery Experience supporting corporate transactions Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data languages

Hybrid working





It's hugely important for us to share knowledge and build strong relationships with each other, and we find it easier to do this if we spend time together in person. This is why we follow a hybrid model, and

would require you to be able to come into the office 3 days a week

(currently Tuesday, Wednesday, and one other day depending on which team you're in). If you have additional needs that would prevent you from following this hybrid approach, we'd be happy to talk through these if you're selected for an initial screening call.
