Job Description


We are looking for a Management Accountant to join a high-profile Real estate and Property Services firm as a Finance Analyst. This position is paying \xc2\xa355k and will require travel once week to either Daventry, Darlington or Huddersfield. The company are happy for you to be home based 4 days a week. This role will be working with one of the company\'s largest clients, you will therefore gain client exposure, work on ad hoc projects as well as prepare the monthly management accounts. This is very much a commercial management accounting position.

The Role

  • Prepare accurate reports for the Portfolio which feed into Business Unit reports in line with strict monthly company timetable including full Profit & Loss account with analysis and commentary, Balance Sheet extracts and reconciliations, and detailed Project Profitability reporting.
  • Continually review, maintain, and improve billing, debt, work in progress, purchase orders and ledger postings against Plan, forecast, prior year, Divisional and Company results and trends.
  • Identify and resolve any areas of financial weakness within the Portfolio in a timely manner.
  • Collate challenging, realistic, rolling, three-monthly Profit & Loss forecasts together with annual expectations based on the latest available management information.
  • Support the Finance Manager with the preparation of the annual Business Unit plan in conjunction with the Operational Account director and contract management team.
  • Prepare cost-benefit reports and pro-active analytical works to facilitate continuous improvement of the Portfolio\'s performance.
  • Fully comprehend the financial and commercial detail of contracts within the Portfolio to ensure optimal performance and risk management.
Your Profile
  • You will need to be a newly qualified accountant with a management accounting background (CIMA or ACCA Qualified).
  • Candidates who are close to qualifying with one or two papers remaining are also welcome to apply.
  • The ability to business partner is essential, prior business partnering experience is highly desired.
