Our client is a truly market leading brand with multiple sites in the UK who are looking for a Finance Analyst to join their offices in Norwich.

Role Purpose:

This role requires a self-starter, highly dynamic individual who will drive performance throughout working capital and material cost providing the appropriate financial guidance, control and reporting. The span of this role encompasses everything from, month end, budgeting, forecasting, business partnering, financial modelling and reporting to the highest level within the business. The successful candidate will be fully embedded in the business and will require high level partnering skills with counterparts in Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, as well as the ability to create productive working relationships with colleagues across Finance, Sales & Marketing, Procurement and Manufacturing.

Job Details:

• Build relationships between Procurement Finance and Procurement and Agriculture Teams to effectively support Procurement/Agriculture cost control and improvement.
• Detailed analysis and reporting of Price Variances to support Procurement/Agriculture leadership, including relevant weekly and monthly reporting vs Budget and/or Latest Estimates, insight and analysis of Pricing trends, volume/mix driven trends, and any significant ad hoc impacts (eg. management of supply/demand surpluses/shortages).
• Lead involvement as required in Procurement Team savings project financial analysis (eg. price tracking, volumes and rebates etc) and support for Procurement new contracts.
• Lead involvement as required in Agriculture Team savings project financial analysis (eg. free-market vs. contract potatoes, storage options, seed potato buying plants etc) and support for new Potatoes contracts.
• Involvement in Potatoes self-billing for Growers with Agriculture Team to ensure accurate and timely payments to Growers based on daily/weekly Potato deliveries into Norwich Factory.
• Financial governance and leadership with Agriculture Team related to Potato Stocks held in storage (eg. bringing early awareness of any degradation risks to quality or usability) including reporting as part of month-end Stock balances.
• Involvement with Operations Finance Team to confirm/support Material/Packaging costings as needed for New Product costings and Change Management processes.
• Ensure completion of month end processes to deadlines across total Snackfoods Price Variance scope, providing commentary as needed to explain performance/variances.
• Completion and ownership of accurate and controlled balance sheet reconciliations.
• Continuously look for ways to improve processes across Procurement and Agriculture Teams and drive cost savings into the business.
• Work as part of the Finance team, sharing learnings, and complying with the financial controls and reporting timetables in line with business requirements.

• Supporting Audit Requirements for Year End Compliance.
• Other Finance related support / project work as required.

You will be ideally ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with excellent Excel skills and use to working in a fast paced environment. You should have a proven track record of a broad financial and interpersonal skill set with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
