Job Description


Walter Everett is a recruitment company and we are currently helping our client to recruit a Finance Analyst.

The company is an award-winning consultancy with over 130K employees worldwide. They have a large finance department and they are looking for an individual with a strong finance and analytics background.

You will be responsible for using your analytical mindset to analyze and interpret financial data, You will then relate this to potential business trends and issues. The ideal candidate will feel comfortable using insights they have discovered to communicate important themes and discoveries to company leadership.

Your responsibilities:

Support the finance business partners with a variety of month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, investigating variances, and preparing commentary
Supporting project managers with complex, customer invoicing and resolving collection queries through the provision of high-quality data and analysis
To develop reporting that will support the project managers to understand WIP balances and aged debt so that the correct actions can be taken
To use your expert knowledge of systems and analytical skills to identify data and process anomalies so that we embed integrity into all our financial reporting
Support the finance team with identifying and resolving reporting inefficiencies so that they may have more time to analyse data and understand business performance
Provide support and cover for other members of the Finance Team when required.
Ad-hoc tasks and other projects as required.

What you\'ll need:

Advanced Excel skills including macros and Power Query is essential and the expertise to build custom reports in Power BI
Experience of using of SAP 4Hana including the billing process is a requirement for this role.
Knowledge of ONE ERP Fiori (used daily for project management, risk management and billing), experience is desirable.
An understanding of month-end accounting processes and consolidations
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels across the Group.
Should be bold and innovative with the energy to thrive in an environment of growth and change.
To have the confidence to be proactive and recommend ways to improve the way we analyse our data.
Part Qualified (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) looking to complete their studies.
