Finance and Business Assistant
who is as comfortable balancing budgets as they are at getting involved in our many team builidng activities . You'll help keep our finances on track, support the day-to-day running of the business, and play a vital role in helping our residents (and our team!) enjoy life to the fullest.

Your Role:
As our
Finance and Business Assistant
, you'll be the behind the scenes hero who helps keep Hengoed Park running like a well-oiled (and well-loved) machine. From managing invoices and supporting payroll to tracking budgets , you'll play a key part in the smooth operation of our home.
You'll work closely with our management team to make sure everything adds up--literally and figuratively! Whether you're reconciling accounts, liaising with suppliers, or helping streamline our processes, your attention to detail and friendly approach will make a real difference every day.

Role Purpose:
Working in line with Hengoed Park's values; to support the smooth financial and business operations of Hengoed Park. You'll help ensure our home runs efficiently, compliantly, and with care at its heart. From assisting with finance administration to supporting day-to-day business tasks, your work will help us deliver the high standards of service for the residents we support.
Role Description:
Accurately collate and input data into the payroll system.
Assist the Finance Manager with any payroll related queries.
Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of payroll reports and submissions.
Inputting and coding of purchase invoices on to the accounting system in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist the Finance Manager and the Registered Manager with the credit control process to help ensure invoices are raised in a timely and accurate manner and that they are paid in a timely manner.
Assist the Finance Manager and the Registered Manager with managing and reconciling petty cash and client money accounts.
Assist the Finance Manager to prepare financial information for the leadership team that allows them to make effective business decisions. This will include providing support in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial management information, reconciliations, analysis of the financial transactions and addressing any anomalies arising from the analysis so that they can be brought to the attention of the leadership team in a timely manner.
Work across the business to provide business support and administration to achieve work objectives and business priorities.
Provide diary co-ordination, administrative support to meetings, circulation of actions, preparation of reports, filing and archiving etc.
Provide administrative support to the recruitment and induction process ensuring that Safer Recruitment procedures are followed and candidates have a positive experience of engaging with the business. -
To assist in providing HR administration and ensure accurate HR records are maintained for employees.
Answer incoming telephone calls promptly and professionally and direct calls to the appropriate department or individuals.
Adhere to existing working practices, methods and procedures. Undertake relevant training and development activities and respond positively to new and alternative systems.
To maintain care skills at current level and to undertake such training and development as may be required.
Take responsibility for the health and safety of oneself and others in the workplace, particularly in respect of: Risk assessment, Accident reporting, Lone working procedures, Risk management- ensuring you use chemicals in accordance with our COSHH policy.
Ensure that you contribute positively to the safeguarding culture at Hengoed Park and if you become aware of real or suspected abuse report it promptly as required by the Safeguarding procedure.
Qualifications:
ACA, AAT, CIMA or CIPFA qualified -Essential
Fully conversant with Accounting and Payroll packages- Essential
Valid driver's license - Diserable
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role or working with vulnerable adults- Essential
