Role: Finance and Business Support Officer



An exciting opportunity has arisen due to Cyber1st's continued growth. This role looks to provide day?to?day finance support and business administration, ensuring accurate financial processing and smooth operational support. While the role includes some light PA duties, the emphasis is firmly on finance and business support. It is well?suited to candidates who are part?qualified in a recognised finance qualification and looking to broaden their experience.

Key Responsibilities



Finance support tasks


o Process supplier invoices, staff expenses, and payment runs.

o Maintain ledgers and reconcile accounts.

o Assist with payroll administration and timesheet checks.

o Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports for management.

o Support audits by providing documentation and responding to queries.

o Assist with budget monitoring and variance reporting.

o Supporting VAT returns.

Business support tasks


o Provide administrative support across departments.

o Organise meetings, prepare agendas, and circulate minutes.

o Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve queries and chase outstanding payments.

o Arranging travel, accommodation etc. for company business travel needs.

o Assisting with compliance activities: This role also includes the opportunity to assist with internal audits of the Quality and Health and Safety Management Systems.

PA duties for the MD and Senior Leadership Team

HR administrative tasks


o Maintain employee records and update HR databases.

o Assist with recruitment administration (posting job ads, scheduling interviews, preparing contracts).

o Support onboarding processes for new starters.

o Track staff absences and holidays .

Travel within the UK, including between company sites, may be required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



Personal Competencies

Great communication and team working skills as well as the ability to work independently.

Great problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.

Required Technical Skills / Qualifications

Part?qualified in a recognised finance qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).

Previous experience of finance administration to support the tasks listed above.

Experience with accountancy systems and finance practices is essential.

Strong organisational skills and a proactive approach

Desirable Skills

Previous experience working in accordance with a certified Management System e.g. ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 27001

Previous experience of SharePoint would be advantageous
