Job Summary
Reporting to the Company Directors, you will have full responsibility for managing the finances of the company along with operational functions including stock control, administration & HR.. Duties & Responsibilities
Final responsibility of Company accounts -working with the Finance Manager to provide monthly management accounts to the Directors, reconciliation of the balance sheet, accruals, prepayments and journal entries
Multi bank accounts analysis and cash flow forecasting including foreign currency transactions
Responsibility for VAT returns and other regulatory filings, including all reporting to HMRC
Administer the company monthly payroll for 14 employees including pension analysis and reports
Authorise and process monthly payment runs by BACS
Ensuring pro forma invoices are issued and payments allocated
Monitor creditors and chase outstanding customer accounts.
Liase with external accountant regarding statutory Year End accounts
Costing of new/existing products. Keeping costing analysis up to date and be aware of price fluctuations.
Review & authorise purchase orders
Oversee & analyse annual stock take
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance department and collaborate with other departments to enhance overall business operations
Full HR responsibility including onboarding, recruitment and staff records. Ensuring compliance with regulatory and company policies
Organise annual appraisals for all employees
Administration responsibility including Insurance renewals, fleet management, customer queries & company events.
Working closely with Production & Warehouse Managers to ensure orders are fulfilled and shipped to our preferred timescales
Keeping to tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is crucial

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
5+ years in a mid-level/senior capacity, preferably with an SME
Professional accounting qualification preferred, however, candidates with relevant experience will also be considered
Proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating an ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure
Previous experience within a manufacturing environment advantageous
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while maintaining strong communication skills that enable effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels of the business
Proficiency in Sage Accounts is required for this role
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, word & Power BI would be beneficial
Organised, reliable, and able to work to tight deadlines, demonstrating self-motivation and an ability to multitask effectively
Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and efficiency in your work
Experience with multi-currency transactions is highly desirable
Previous experience managing a small team
