Part-time Finance and Studio Manager:
We are looking for an experienced Finance and Studio Manager to join our busy, multi-disciplinary design studio based in east London. The role is part time and studio based and would suit a self-starter with strong book keeping/account management skills, and office management experience.
The Role:
This role is responsible for the studio and sister company finances and for the management of the studio and storage unit. Responsibilities include ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the finance records and the smooth running of the studio and storage unit.
Day to day responsibility for company finances.
Preparation of VAT returns and reporting to HMRC.
Bank reconciliations.
Management of company funds.
Payroll.
Provide regular financial insights and updates.
Sales and purchase ledgers.
Quotations.
Project budget oversight.
Ordering of studio consumables.
Facilities management for studio and storage unit.
Supporting senior staff with travel and admin.
Day to day HR.
Qualifications and Skills:
5+ years financial experience.
Strong accounting systems experience (Xero or similar)
Good organisational skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Ability to work without supervision.
Works positively and supportively with others.
What is the studio like?
Busy, hardworking, hopefully enjoyable. We are a small group working on a lot of different projects at the same time. Everybody works from the studio (there is no working from home) which is a good thing if you want to progress fast, as there are always people around to ask for help. It's a team rather than a corporate structure.
Job details:
The job is studio based, part-time. We are looking to employ someone for 16-20 hrs per week across 4 days, Monday to Thursday. The role would suit someone with other commitments (e.g. childcare) as we can facilitate a shorter day; we are open to discussing a schedule that works for both parties. The position is permanent. You will start on a fully paid three month trial.
