Finance Assistant

Contour886 is a small business based in Watford making a difference to people's lives by creating custom-build wheelchairs and other seating solutions.

We have an opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join our friendly, informal team. This role will be for up to a one year temporary period as maternity cover.

The role is for 25 hours per week.

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the business with a variety of accounting tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of basic accounting principles, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with a passion for numbers and accuracy.

Key responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of quotes Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner Maintain accurate accounting records Handle supplier and customer queries in a professional manner Provide general administrative support to the finance team Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects as required

What we're looking for:

A minimum of two years' experience as an accounts assistant or similar role

A good understanding of basic accounting principles

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

Strong organisational skills and the ability to be proactive with your work

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently

What we offer:

You will be entitled to 25 days leave plus the normal bank holidays (pro-rated for your part-time working), paid company sick pay and the opportunity to join a small and friendly team. We also give our team members a day off for their birthday!

The role is based in Sandown Road in Watford.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour
