Job Description
W&A is working on a great opportunity to develop your finance career in a supportive team environment in a 12 month contract. Based on-site in Galashiels, you'll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of accounting activities while contributing to group-level reporting.
The Opportunity
As Finance Assistant, you'll support day-to-day financial operations and play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely reporting. The role offers varied responsibilities and strong exposure across the full finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile invoices, payments, and bank transactions.
- Prepare and maintain month-end working papers, including fixed assets, ledgers, and intercompany balances.
- Assist with reporting and analysis for both UK operations and the wider group.
- Support ad-hoc finance tasks as required.
- Good working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Basic accounts knowledge with a willingness to learn.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexible, proactive, and a team player with good communication skills.
