We are looking for a part time Finance Assistant to work within our FinanceTeam supporting the Director of Finance to deliver a high quality service to both staff and students. This is a part time role, 2 days per week (14.5 hours) - Thursdays and Fridays term time only.
You will carry out general finance duties including ensuring the effective operation of finance services for students which includes taking money for trips, stationary and other materials as well as distributing petty cash expenses.
You will also undertake other finance functions such as end of month reconciliation of petty cash and creditor reconciliation, investigating any overdue balances.
The successful candidate should be educated to at least level 3 and have a 4/C or above in GCSE English and Maths. An AAT qualification or a willingness to undertake training is desirable. The successful candidate need to be well organised, have good customer service skills and be a team player. They need to enjoy working in a busy educational environment with 16-19 year old students.
Successful candidates will be required to possess an enhanced DBS certificate to be employed at the College. Please be aware that we are also required to conduct online searches as part of our safeguarding checks and due diligence for all shortlisted candidates.
