Can you do it?




During this 18 month fixed term contract, reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day running of the finance team. From managing bank accounts and processing transactions to preparing reconciliations and assisting with audits, you'll ensure our financial records remain accurate, timely, and compliant.


You will be responsible for:


Managing all bank accounts by maintaining cashbooks where applicable, posting daily transactions, and performing daily bank reconciliations. Ensuring all financial records are accurate and updated in a timely manner. Raising credit notes and processing refunds promptly upon request from the Access Team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures. Reconciling nominal ledgers to source records across, AP, AR and Payroll. Assisting colleagues in the Finance Team with any other duties as required, including journal posting and reconciliations.
This is a varied role where no two days are the same, giving you exposure across multiple finance functions and the chance to contribute to process improvements.


Is this you?




To be successful, you will:


Have a minimum of 5 years of Extensive finance experience is essential. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and communicate confidently with employees, external stakeholders, and suppliers. Be AAT qualified, Part Qualified Accountant, or other relevant qualification. Be proactive and organised, with the ability to work independently while remaining receptive to guidance and instruction. Use Sage which is essential in particular; use Sage 200 (Desirable).
Working hours are 35 hours per week (9.00am to 5.00pm), Monday to Friday, hybrid working is available. Located in Greater Manchester (initially based in Stockport with a move to Manchester Science Park mid to late 2026).
