About the role



Idox has an excellent opportunity for a confident and enthusiastic individual to join our Accounts Payable Team based in Glasgow. Reporting directly to our Accounts Payable Manager, this role involves working as part of the team to support the day-to-day operations of the wider business.

We are looking for a confident, enthusiastic, self-driven individual who wants to develop their career in Finance. This role may be of interest to an experience Accounts Payable / Finance Assistant looking to make the next move in their career. Excellent time management is key to support both daily and month-end reporting deadlines.

To thrive in Finance, you will need excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Idox Group Finance team has a progressive outlook, and is a close-knit, mixed team of finance professionals, including experienced qualified accountants and finance professionals with specialisms in accounts payable, credit control, management information, payroll, systems accounting, and tax. The successful candidate should demonstrate good IT / Microsoft office skills and can work independently as well as part of a team.

Idox operates a mixed model of office and home working, depending on circumstances. Partial home / office working can be agreed subject to line manager approval and ongoing reporting commitments. Key responsibilities



The Accounts Payable team facilitate and look after payments to our established suppliers and are responsible for making sure any invoicing we receive meets the high standards of compliance necessary for the business. All team members are vigilant against any potential fraud.

Tasks include:



Ensuring our internal processes are adhered to in line with agreed SLAs to ensure timely payments to suppliers and employees Developing and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships both internally and externally Providing day to day support to the wider community Assisting with resolution of queried invoices and ensuring direct debit accounts are up to date Participation with accounts payable team mailbox Processing of incoming supplier invoices Supplier payment runs including uploading payments onto banking portals (weekly) Supplier Masterfile - updating existing supplier details / creating new suppliers Creating PO requisitions for finance team Supplier account reconciliations Managing your own portfolio of supplier accounts Weekly / monthly accounts payable team reporting Assisting with audit requests Assist with other ad hoc duties / reporting as requested.

Cash Books:



Posting and allocating supplier payments (multi-currency) Daily bank account reconciliations Ensuring any reconciling items are investigated and cleared in a timely manner.

To be successful you should bring:



Strong accounts payable experience (2+years) is essential Account reconciliation experience Uploading supplier payment files on to online banking portals Excellent customer service experience Ability to communicate at all levels Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines Ability to work independently, with strong organisational and time management skills Excellent attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
