FINANCE ASSISTANT

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE & CASH MANAGEMENT

MM Flowers is a dynamic growing business supplying fresh cut flowers and bouquets from all over the world to the retail sector across the UK and Europe.

Operating from a purpose-built facility in Alconbury, Huntingdon it is embarking on its next phase of growth as a leading firm across the industry.

JOB TITLE: Finance Assistant

REPORTING TO: Financial Controller

DEPARTMENT: Finance

LOCATION: Alconbury, Huntingdon

SALARY: 30,000 - 35,000 depending on experience

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Daily cash management including bank reconciliations, ad-hoc payments and managing foreign exchange requirements

- Preparation and maintenance of Cashflow forecasts - short & longer term

- Accounts Receivable support - escalation point, query resolution for cash collection

- Invoice Finance management

- Asset Finance management

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience in Cashflow/Banking and Sales Ledger is essential. Familiarity with consumer goods/manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.

An understanding of, or background in, SAP Business by Design or S/4 HANA would be beneficial.

Continuous improvement mindset, process development and automation.

You will have a dynamic and enthusiastic approach to problem solving, a can-do attitude and are a strong communicator with both finance and non-financial stakeholders.

You will have strong Excel skills and a desire to support the ongoing Finance Systems Transformation projects that continue in 2025
