We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support financial operations, assist with bookkeeping, and ensure accurate record-keeping. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop financial skills within a dynamic organisation, contributing to the smooth functioning of our financial processes.
Duties
Delivering all the financial reporting both from a legal and regulatory point of view as well as from a management reporting perspective.
Ensure all accounting records are up to date and accurate
Creating consistent processes and structure for delivering the financial reporting.
Giving a strong financial perspective to key decisions throughout the business.
Supporting of providing key information to the Business Operations Manager in the creation of budgets and supporting the team to ensure they are appropriately managed.
Proactively analysing data to help drive the business towards its vision of the future.
Manage payment of invoices and expenses;
Manage debit card and petty cash processes and records;
Handle cash / bank payments;
Assist in preparation of monthly payroll and the processing of payroll reporting function.
Prepare regular financial reports and management accounts;
Assist in preparation of annual statutory accounts;
Assist in the general running of other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the houses
Requirements
Qualified Accountant - ACCA, ACA or ACMA
A minimum of 4 years' experience in a financial/accounting position.
Strong organisational & time management skills
Display strong attention to detail.
Demonstrate a commercially aware and client focused approach.
Be a good team player, with the ability to self-motivate and work independently when required.
Payroll experience an advantage.
Demonstrable accountancy experience, including preparation of accounts to trial balance
Excellent analytical and reporting skills
Fluent in English.
Possess strong IT skills including MS Office 2010 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience in QuickBooks Accounts a distinct advantage.
Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
