Finance Assistant

Contract: Part-time, 1 Year Fixed-Term Contract

Hours: 25 hours per week, all year round

Salary: Band 4, Points 5-6. Actual starting salary: 17,286 per annum.



BTC Trust are seeking a committed and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our central finance team on a part-time, fixed-term basis. Reporting to the Trust Finance Manager, you will support the delivery of efficient, accurate financial processes across the Trust and the Trading subsidiary.

About The Role



In this role, you will:

Raise sales invoices for Trust and Trading customers. Reconcile income between Trust finance systems and third-party systems. Record and process bank income. Support debtor monitoring, including sending initial overdue invoice correspondence. Manage shared finance inboxes and respond to routine enquiries. Review expenditure and process journals as part of monthly accounting. Support month-end processes for the Trading subsidiary, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reviews. Provide budget reports and act as first point of contact for budget holders in the Trading subsidiary. Maintain fixed asset registers. Communicate professionally with staff, parents, and suppliers. Support the wider central finance team as required.

We are looking for someone who:
