The Role
The Finance Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records are maintained in line with school policies and regulatory requirements, while also providing administrative support to ensure the smooth and compliant operation of the Finance Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
Process supplier invoices, match with purchase orders, and obtain necessary approvals
Prepare and run payment
Raise and send out invoices to parents, guardians, and third parties
Follow up on outstanding fees and maintain debtor records
Assist with payroll preparation by collating timesheets and expense claims
Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and year-end audits
Input and maintain data in the school's finance system
Assist in preparing reports
Ensure all financial practices comply with relevant regulations and Nord Anglia policies

The successful candidate will:

Experience and Qualifications
AAT qualification (or working towards) a recognised accountancy qualification.
Highly computer literate with experience of accounting packages; Nav BC would be an advantage.
Proven experience in a similar role within an educational setting.
Strong numerical and data entry skills of Excel and spreadsheets.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Part time, 0.4 FTE, Permanent
