A note on working hours





This is a part-time role, up to 25 hours per week. Working 25 hours would make you eligible to join our EMI share option scheme, but this isn't essential! We're open to applications from those who would like to work fewer hours. What matters most is finding the right person for the role.

Location:

Bristol (hybrid). As a Finance team we come into the office twice a month, but as a company we ask all team members to come into the office at least 3 x per quarter.

What you will be doing:





We're looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team to help keep our financial operations running smoothly. This role will play an important part in maintaining accurate records, ensuring timely payments, and providing excellent support to both our team and customers. You'll play a key role in making sure everything adds up, from supplier invoices to payroll support, helping us stay organised, compliant, and on track with our budgets.

Main Responsibilities:




Processing and payment of purchase invoices. Chasing receipts for purchase payments and reviewing budgets accordingly. Processing and paying team member expenses. Assisting with customer invoice queries. Carrying out regular bank reconciliations. Supporting with payroll on an ad-hoc basis



Our Ideal Candidate will have:




Previous experience in a finance or accounts role. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organisational and time management skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues, suppliers and customers. Proficiency with spreadsheets and finance/accounting software (or willingness to learn)



And it's a massive bonus if you have:




Currently studying for or have an AAT qualification. Knowledge of bookkeeping or accounting principles. Experience of expense processes. Familiarity with budgeting and expense management Experience using an accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
