Finance Assistant
to join our friendly head office team in
Cannock
, providing vital financial support to help us continue delivering exceptional care.
About the Role
As a
Finance Assistant
, you will play an important role in the smooth day-to-day running of our finance operations. You'll work closely with the Finance Manager to ensure our accounts are accurate, compliant, and up to date.
Key Responsibilities
Process purchase and sales invoices and ensure accurate coding
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice queries promptly
Support with bank reconciliations and cashbook management
Assist with payroll preparation and staff expense processing
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Help prepare monthly reports and support with audits as required
Provide general administrative support to the finance and management teams
Skills & Experience Required
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software (Sage, Xero, or similar)
High attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Discreet and professional approach when handling confidential information
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Desirable Qualifications
AAT Level 2 or above (or working towards)
Experience within the care, education, or charity sector
