Location: Chippenham - full time site based
Salary: 30,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 17.00 pm

About the role
Role Overview:
Working on a large, high profile customer account, the position of Finance Assistant offers the right individual a great opportunity to start their career in Finance.
The role of Finance Assistant will be an important part of the account team, responsible for supporting the operational team with financial information and assisting with the preparation of monthly client reports.
What you'll do:

  • Be the first point of call for all finance related queries on the contract (internally & externally)
  • Assist with invoicing, ensuring all costs are covered & contractual mark-ups are applied.
  • Assist with producing client reports in an accurate & timely manner (eg. CCN Log, unbilled reports, budget trackers & variable billing submissions)
  • Manage debtor and ensure invoices are raised accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist operational team in management of the goods receipting process.
  • Ensure supplier invoices in query are reviewed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate costing for employees' salaries, phones, vehicles, labour etc.
  • Any ad-hoc tasks as required.
Who you'll be:
  • Experience in a similar role with a focus on client reporting and profitability would be desirable but not essential. Internal training will be provided for the correct candidate to ensure compliance with EMCOR accounting and finance policies.
  • Computer literacy (eg. Excel) - essential
  • System experience of IFS/similar would be desired but is not essential
