Job Description

Wishford Education are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Finance Assistant to support the development of the group of independent schools.

This is a broad role covering:

Processing customer and supplier invoices Managing accounts receivable and payable Ordering supplies Reconciling the credit card and collating receipts Assisting with the purchase order process Early Years Funding claims Payroll administration Assistance with general office administration

Hours: Based at the group's Support Office in Corsham, Wiltshire

The role is year-round, on a permanent contract. We would be open to accepting applications for a part time or full time role.

Salary: 27,689.00 FTE

To process supplier invoices and match them with purchase orders and complete the purchase order tracker To liaise with suppliers to resolve queries To reconcile supplier statements To prepare payment runs accurately and on a timely basis To check and process employee expense claims To assist with the termly invoicing process To collect information regarding pupils' extra-curricular activities and ensure that it is entered accurately onto each pupil's account To assist with the administration of the grant funding for nursery pupils To process fee income received To follow the group's credit control procedures to ensure that fees are received promptly To prepare bank reconciliations on a daily basis To process orders for school supplies To reconcile the credit card and collate receipts To ensure that the fixed asset registers are kept up to date To assist with the administration of payroll To assist with group reporting and the preparation of information for the year end audit To assist with the smooth running of the office

Person Specification:



The successful candidate will have the following qualities:

Honesty, integrity and a sense of humour Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines AAT part/full qualification Adaptability, a 'can do' attitude and a willingness to pitch in to get things done Good communication skills Experience of accounting software (training will be given) Experience of payroll administration A good working knowledge of Excel An interest in education and understanding of the independent school mode
