Job Description

We're seeking a motivated Finance Assistant with a proactive, can-do attitude to support the Finance Department. The Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This position is responsible for processing transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with reporting, reconciliations, and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organised, and eager to contribute to an efficient and compliant finance function.

We provide a full range of services from wheeled bin collections and site clearances to skip hire and large roll-on/roll-off containers supporting businesses of all sizes. What You Will Do:



Accounts Payable & Receivable



Process supplier invoices, expense claims, and staff reimbursements. Prepare and issue customer invoices and statements. Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on outstanding payments. Manage and oversee the company's credit control processes, ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts and maintaining healthy cash flow.

Banking & Reconciliation



Record and reconcile daily bank transactions. Assist with daily and monthly bank, cash, and credit card reconciliations.

Financial Reporting Support



Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly management reports. Maintain and update financial spreadsheets and databases. Provide administrative support for audits and financial reviews.

General Finance Administration



Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing of financial documents. Support the Finance Manager and wider team with ad hoc tasks and projects. Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.

What We Are Looking For



A proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team, With 1-3 years' experience in a finance or accounting role is essential Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook A good understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions Strong organisational and time management skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail
