About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to provide temporary maternity cover for 12 months. You will support the Head of Finance in ensuring accurate and up-to-date accounting records, covering a wide range of financial tasks including bank reconciliations and invoicing (sales and purchases).
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Bank: Daily postings, monthly reconciliations, and managing receipts/payments.
Invoicing: Raise and send customer invoices, process supplier invoices, and reconcile statements.
Payments: Prepare month-end schedules.
Reporting: Post journals, maintain spreadsheets, and support ad-hoc finance tasks.
Assist the Head of Finance with ad-hoc duties as required.
Qualifications and Education
Good numeracy and literacy skills.
Knowledge of Sage 50.
Preferred Skills
Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and use initiative.
Strong team player.
