Location: Dorset
Contract: Temporary (6 months initial)
Rate: \xc2\xa311.10 - \xc2\xa313.50 per hour - 37hr week

Service Care Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Dorset for a Finance Assistant on a temporary basis. The Finance Assistant with be responsible for chasing debts from customers and reconciling payments.
Main Responsibilities
- Chasing debts from customers in an efficient manner, ensuring complete accuracy of invoices and payments.
- Operational payment processing work, including maintenance of supplier master data, checking and paying invoices, supplier statement reconciliation, and compilation of performance management statistics.
- Assist with budget preparation, forecasting and closing of accounts under the direction of the Accountant or Finance Manager
- Contribute to the improvement of processes and the development and effective performance of the team through evaluation and review of current practice.
- 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Maths or equivalent.
- Experience of working within a financial environment with the ability to learn new processes quickly.
- Experience of chasing debts is highly desirable.
- Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team.
