The Part - Time Finance Assistant reports directly to the COO. The ideal applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the transactional finance function, supporting the next stage of our growth. You will need to be flexible, pro-active and enjoy working in a fast-moving environment in a small team.
This is an integral position in the organisation and will require someone to be organised, with good attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy with previous accounting experience. The role is best suited to candidates who are looking for a part-time opportunity over 21 hours per week.
Duties
Assist with processing invoices, receipts, and expense claims in accordance with company policies
Support the preparation of financial reports and statements
Maintain accurate and organised financial records and filing systems
Reconcile accounts and bank statements regularly
Process staff expense reimbursements
Liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial queries
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls
Contribute to continuous improvement of financial procedures and systems
Experience
Previous experience in a finance or accounting role is essential;
Familiarity with basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
Experience of Sage 200 Professional or and ERP system an advantage
Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
Excellent numerical proficiency and analytical skills
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, is preferred
