Job description: Finance Assistant
Purpose
The purpose of this job is to work as part of the Finance Team in the accounting and reporting for one of the UK's leading tree surgery and management companies. Established in 1998, and now part of the RSK group, this is an exciting time to join this business in our Exeter headquarters. The business has a strong family culture in a busy and friendly office environment.
This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position, offering a part-time schedule of 25-30 hours per week. We are committed to flexibility, so hours can be arranged to suit the successful candidate's needs within the core office hours. The role is office-based, providing the opportunity to work closely with the team while benefiting from a supportive and adaptable working environment.

Key responsibilities
Maintaining the Purchase Ledger
Staff expenses
Processing payment runs and routine payments
Assistance with sales ledger processing and ad-hoc management reporting
Posting credit cards
Person specification
Have high-levels of personal integrity and be capable of handling confidential information within a fast moving environment.
Be able to manage their own timetable and prioritise tasks appropriately and be flexible in their role.
Be customer focused and provide high levels of service.
Will have strong interpersonal skills (verbal and written) and be able to communicate effectively.
Process a proactive approach to all tasks.
Technical Experience
Relevant experience in finance function
Clear written and verbal communication style
IT competent including the Microsoft Office suite
Driving licence and access to car
AAT qualification or studying towards (desirable)
