Gullane Golf Club is regarded as one of the finest Private Members Clubs in the UK and is very popular all year round with visitors from all over the world. We have 1700 members, three fantastic golf courses and hosted the ASI Men's Scottish Open in 2015 and ASI's Men's and Ladies Scottish Opens in 2018.

JOB ROLE



The successful candidate will work within our Finance & HR team to provide additional support for the provision of day-to-day finance operations of the club, ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, payroll, and reporting. This role will work closely with an existing Finance Assistant to maintain efficient financial controls and contribute to the smooth running of the Club's financial and payroll systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, hard-working and enthusiastic individual who has experience in a similar role and would like to take on a new challenge to develop their career within an award-winning golf club.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Assist with monthly payroll preparation and processing for up to 100 employees using Sage 50 Payroll Handle basic HR and payroll queries relating to timesheets, pay and deductions Process purchase invoices and ensure accurate coding and timely input into Sage 50 Accounts Reconcile supplier statements and assist with resolving discrepancies Prepare reports and data for stocktakes and auditors Collect, count, verify and bank daily takings from various Club departments (e.g. bar, starters) Maintain and reconcile petty cash and till floats Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with Club policies Support membership administration duties when required (e.g. processing renewals or changes) Liaise with Department Heads to ensure timely submission of relevant documentation Provide ad hoc financial reports as required by management or committees Any other duties as directed by the Head of Finance & HR.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED



Essential Skills & Experience:

Proficient in using Sage 50 Accounts and Sage 50 Payroll Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail Experience in processing and reconciling financial transactions Ability to handle sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism Organised, reliable and able to manage workload independently
Desirable Skills & Experience:

Previous experience working in a golf club or member-based organisation Experience handling cash and daily banking Understanding of membership administration processes Familiarity with club operations or hospitality environments
