Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Finance Assistant to support our Finance Team with day-to-day operations. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their finance career whilst gaining hands on experience.

The Finance Assistant will work closely with the Financial Controller and liaises with department heads to ensure specific financial information is recorded and communicated. A role requiring a confident individual able to work with team members from the most junior, to the most senior, across the whole business, to ensure smooth delivery of operations, product sales, training and all the activities of the business; at all times upholding the highest level of customer service and support.

As a successful Finance Assistant, you will be resolving problematic situations efficiently and have excellent communication and organisational skills, ultimately able to ensure the smooth daily operations of a rapidly growing, successful company.

Key Responsibilities

Projects - tracking the progress of projects to ensure that all projects are invoiced in a timely manner. Materials are ordered as and when required. Resolving any issues arising. Reviewing Project costs at month end ensuring all have been accounted along with allocations. Cross-referencing and subsequently creating Purchase orders from the Operations Team. Assisting Financial Controller with credit control - sending out monthly statements and tracking subsequent payment dates. Processing monthly expense claims and company credit purchases in line with company policy. Preparing and maintaining documents, reports, purchasing information and processes. Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures.

Requirements

Previous experience in a finance/accounting role is essential. Understanding of accounting, finance and management principles. Desirable - experience in the finance software package Business Central 365. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Demonstrable experience communicating orally and in writing clear, concise emails with accurate spelling, punctuation and grammar. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically advantageous: an ability with Excel. Ability to multitask and prioritise. Self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.

Experience & Qualifications

2+ years' experience working within a finance role.
