Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Finance Assistant with expertise in payroll and credit control to join our team at Pearsons of Duns.

Duties & Responsibilities
Payroll Administration
Ensure timely processing of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payroll cycles.
Accurately maintain the absence management system and cross-reference with the timekeeping system.
Enter finalised payroll data into the Sage Payroll system with precision.
Cashiering
Consolidation of daily sales and payments from each division to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of the site's sales and payments.
Credit Control and Account Management
Processing of new account openings to ensure they are ready for management sign-off.
Monitor customer payments to ensure adherence to agreed account terms.
Implement and maintain the company's credit control procedures, to include the monitoring and management of aged debt.
Liaise effectively with internal teams and external customers to resolve queries promptly.
Financial Operations Support
Provide assistance with Purchase Ledger processes, including supplier invoice handling. .
Conduct accounting analysis, including preparation of weekly and monthly financial reports.
Execute tasks with a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
Support other ad-hoc finance-related duties as required.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
Sage 50 Payroll experience would be desirable
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
Confident working with numbers and financial systems
A team player with good communication skills
Willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks in a small team environment
