We're looking for a detail-driven and proactive

Finance Assistant

to join our office team and help keep our financial operations running smoothly. You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function, reporting directly to the Finance Manager and working closely with the sales & operations coordinator.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organised, confident with numbers, and looking to grow within a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: (Job Content)



General:



You'll be responsible for a range of finance and operations tasks, including:

Processing sales invoices and reviewing daily worksheets Matching supplier invoices to delivery notes and checking prices Reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and fuel card receipts Allocating customer payments and chasing overdue invoices Preparing weekly cashflow reports for Directors Monitoring department scheduling spreadsheets Managing quarterly VAT returns and monthly Profit & Loss reports Assisting with payroll by tracking overtime, sickness, and adjustments Preparing monthly commission reports Creating labour time records and comparing project budgets to actuals in Xero

Summary of Knowledge, Skills/Competencies and Experience required:



We want to hear from you if you have:

Proven experience in a finance/account's assistant role (Senior level preferred) Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines Excellent communication skills and confidence working across teams Strong Excel skills and experience with cloud-based accounting systems (Xero preferred) AAT qualification or working towards it (preferred, but not essential) The ability to follow instructions while also taking initiative

Pay: 28,000.00-30,000.00 per year
