Main Function of the Role
The main function of the Finance Assistant role is to provide support to the finance department. Reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, this involves ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and records, thereby contributing significantly to the efficient operation of the wider business.
What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
We need someone to keep our accounts running as smoothly as a power shower. You will be responsible for a range of core financial and accounting duties, including:
Executing bank reconciliations accurately and promptly, ensuring every penny is in the right place.
Managing the processing of customer refunds and ensuring compliance with established company policy.
Performing sales ledger reconciliations to keep our accounts receivable sparkling clean.
Assisting the wider finance team in the preparation for the vital month-end close process.
Preparing and posting essential journal entries as directed by the Management Accountant or Group Financial Controller.
Supporting the Management Accountant and wider team with ad-hoc financial and administrative tasks as required.
The Working Pattern (Hours & Flexibility)

The role is
37.5 hours per week
(7.5 hours per day).
Start Time:
We offer
flexible start times
between
7:30 AM and 9:30 AM
.
Office Presence:
On-Site, remaining until
17:00
(5:00 PM) 2-3 days per week. This ensures our team is available to promptly handle queries from our Customer Services and Trade departments.

Proven experience working within a busy
finance department

Solid understanding of basic
accounting principles

Demonstrable experience with
bank and ledger reconciliations

journals
is highly desirable.
Exceptional attention to detail
