Duties
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers within SAP.
Support month-end and year-end close processes.
Preparation of monthly sales reports for each sales territory, including variances against target.
Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment queries.
Preparation of monthly stock reports, including reporting DSI days.
Help maintain internal controls and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Provide general administrative support and cover to the finance team.
Requirements
Proven experience in a similar finance role (1-2 years preferred).
Studying towards (or interested in pursuing) a recognised accountancy qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA).
Strong MS Excel skills; experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, SAP advantageous).
Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential to the smooth running of the department.
