Role:

Finance Assistant



Location: London




We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance, operational processes, and office administration. Ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional, the role includes training, development support, and exposure to contractor lifecycle management in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities



Process invoices, staff expenses, and manage approval workflows Manage the mailbox and manage queries from suppliers, customers and internal departments Perform bank reconciliations and maintain financial records Intercompany reconciliations, journal postings, supplier reconciliations, support month end process Setup regular payment runs in the bank Assist with financial reporting and chasing overdue client invoices Support the finance team on ad hoc tasks and project work

Operations Responsibilities



Manage contractor lifecycle: IR35 status, contracts, timesheets, and invoicing profiles Liaise with clients' HR teams for onboarding, IT setup, and reporting Coordinate timesheet and contractor data for scheduled payments Communicate with umbrella companies/agencies to ensure proper setup and payment Oversee PO management for contract and permanent roles Submit monthly bordereaux for Outside IR35 contractors to insurers

Office Management Responsibilities



Oversee day-to-day office operations, facilities, supplies, and equipment Maintain accurate documentation for all service arrangements Build and manage effective working relationships across teams and external partners

Who you are



Strong interest in finance, accounting, and business operations. High level of numeracy and attention to detail with good organisational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn and take initiative.

Qualifications



Studying towards a recognised finance qualification (e.g. ACCA, AAT, or CIMA) Prior experience in a finance-related role is beneficial but not essential
