About the Role
Purpose: As a Finance Assistant, you'll play a key role in supporting the finance function of a rapidly growing business. From preparing P2P processes and performing daily reconciliations to assisting with reporting and brand expansion, you'll help ensure smooth, accurate, and efficient financial operations. Working closely with senior finance team members, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of finance activities, build your technical expertise, and contribute to optimising processes that support the company's continued growth. Desired Outcomes

  • Contribute to the preparation and execution of P2P processes, from initial recognition through to payment.
  • Take ownership of daily bank reconciliations and support global VAT administration.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial reporting in a fast-growing business.
  • Support efficient month- and year-end closing procedures.
  • Help optimise financial operations by understanding key expenditure areas and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly stock valuations for each brand.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of legal, tax, and financial structures for international expansion.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Processes
  • Support P2P processes, ensuring accurate recognition, approvals, and timely payments.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and ensure variances are resolved promptly.
  • Assist with global VAT administration, maintaining compliance across jurisdictions.
Reporting & Analysis
  • Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Support month- and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Help prepare monthly stock valuations and other cost analyses.
  • Contribute to identifying areas of expenditure optimisation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with other teams to ensure financial processes align with business operations.
  • Provide clear and accurate financial data to support decision-making.
  • Stay informed on relevant accounting standards, systems, and tools.
Competencies and Requirements
Prerequisite Qualifications / Skills
  • Part-qualified accountant, open to a range of levels (CIMA/ACA/ACCA/AAT).
  • Experience using Netsuite is beneficial but not compulsory.

  • Strong Excel skills: Proficient in Excel, with strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and financial modelling.

  • Salary : 30,000 - 32,000 p.a. + study support + equity participation.
