Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Finance Assistant to support our finance team in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth financial operations.
The ideal candidate will assist with accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and compliance tasks. This role requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with accounting software, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely transactions.
Reconcile bank statements
Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring departmental spending.
Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.
Organise financial files and respond to vendor or client account inquiries.
Assist senior finance staff with ad-hoc tasks
Skills
Relevant accounting qualification(s), or the ability to demonstrate appropriate skills and knowledge
Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and develop effective working relationships.
Good organisational skills and sound decision-making skills, coupled with an understanding of appropriate escalation
Excellent numeracy skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Office programmes
Proficient in CRM and/ or ERP Systems
Ability to work autonomously and maintain ongoing areas of responsibility
Previous experience and knowledge of working in a finance department and good excel skills, with experience of maintaining spreadsheets
Good knowledge of accounting procedures
