Job Description

SLR are looking to recruit a Finance Assistant to provide assistance to the department in various financial tasks. This role would be ideal for someone with previous experience in a finance department or someone looking for their first step in a finance career.
The role
You will assist the team with a variety of duties, including:

  • Posting cash receipts and updating the cashbook on daily basis
  • Updating the bank reconciliations and liaising with the finance team to resolve unreconciled transactions
  • Assist Accounts payable and Staff expense team
  • Providing assistance and information to the Finance team and wider business

About you
We are looking for an experienced bid professional, either in an existing bid/proposal management role or a proven coordinator looking for their next step up.
You will have proven experience, ideally gained in a consulting or people-based business and able to evidence relevant examples.
A natural troubleshooter, you will thrive in the fast-paced world of bids and fit well in a friendly and supportive team environment. APMP certification along with Adobe InDesign knowledge, would also be an advantage.
About you
We are seeking someone who has the potential to excel in meticulous transaction reconciliation, with a keenness for continuous learning and skill development. You will be capable of both teamwork and independent initiative; you can work well in a remote environment and are willing to commute to the office twice a week.
You will also have:
  • Understanding of financial systems and processes
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills and accuracy in data entry
  • Proficiency in MS Excel - VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
