The Role
We are seeking an organised and analytical Finance Assistant to join our Finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in supporting the production and management of monthly accounts, preparing financial analysis and reports, and ensuring that all deadlines are met efficiently.
You will work collaboratively across departments, providing accurate and timely financial information to internal and external stakeholders, and contributing to the smooth running of the company's financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Administration & Reporting
Assist with the production and management of monthly accounts.
Complete analytical and financial reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure all reporting deadlines are met through effective time management.
Support the wider business with ad-hoc financial requirements and analysis.
Purchase Ledger
Support the processing of supplier invoices.
Assist with posting proposal queries.
Complete GRNI reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting.
Sales Ledger
Reconcile order pricing and issue sales invoices to customers or finance partners.
Produce non-vehicle invoices and credit notes when required.
Banking & Credit Control
Manage daily, weekly, and monthly banking updates and reconciliations.
Carry out weekly credit control, ensuring debts are collected or escalated, and interest charges are accurately recorded.
Month-End & Audit
Complete month-end tasks in line with reporting deadlines.
Reconcile all accounts to ensure accurate cost and revenue allocation.
Support the annual audit process.
Asset & System Management
Maintain and reconcile the Fixed Asset Register, managing additions, disposals, and depreciation schedules.
Support departmental queries relating to the IFS system, including set-up, testing, and issue resolution.
Business Support & Analysis
Provide financial insights and reporting to internal stakeholders.
Challenge overspend or unexpected costs and recommend corrective actions.
Support other departments with finance-related queries as required.

Studying toward, or qualified in, AAT or equivalent (desirable but not essential). In the absence of this sufficient finance experience must be evidenced.
