Hours:

37.5 per week

Salary:

24,000 to 28,000 based on experience

Holiday entitlement:

25 days per annum, plus Bank Holidays

We're growing fast and we need a proactive, detail-driven Finance Assistant to join our small team to keep our operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

The Role



We are looking to hire a confident and professional, finance focused individual to join our small Finance Team. The opportunity is there for an ambitious individual who is interested in Finance or Accountancy in the Newcastle area.

Working in a fast-paced environment, the right candidate will have a key role to play within our organisation, ensuring we meet timely deadlines of reporting on management accounts whilst helping to assist with general day-to-day tasks within the Finance Team. Our chosen applicant will have the support they need to gain new skills and to realise their potential as part of a passionate, purposeful and friendly team.

You'll be working in a friendly environment where your work really matters. Whether it's reporting on the monthly 'pay-as-you-go' income, invoicing clients, or recording supplier invoices into the accounts, you'll be on the frontline of keeping our car club running like clockwork.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:



Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers using account software i.e. QuickBooks

Process invoices, receipts and payments in a timely manner.

Reconcile bank statements.

Support the preparation of monthly and annual accounts

Assisting with credit control and customer invoicing

General finance admin and ad hoc duties as required

The ideal candidate:



Proven experience in finance, accounting or administrative roles.

AAT or similar accounting qualification (or working towards one).

High attention to detail and accuracy skills.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Confident conversing with all kinds of people and able to build positive relationships with internal and external people alike.

Ability to recognise actual and potential problems and be proactive in seeking relevant solutions.

Flexible approach to work and shift patterns.

Good knowledge of IT programs and comfortable using different software programs.

Strong focus on continuous improvement.

Must be able to use own initiative and think independently.
