Job Description

Summary:


As a Finance Assistant you will support the finance / accounting function by undertaking transactional and routine financial tasks. You will help ensure that financial records are accurate, compliant, and up to date, enabling the team to deliver timely reporting and analysis.

You'll be working closely with senior finance staff, possibly liaising with external parties, and helping with day-to-day operations, periodic routines (e.g. month-end, audit) and ad-hoc tasks.

Responsibilities:



Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions (invoices, payments, credit notes, receipts).

Enter and reconcile data within the accounting system.

Bank reconciliations.

Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Support preparation of management accounts and financial reports.

Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.

Liaise with suppliers, clients or creditors / debtors.

Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and company policies.

Help with audit preparation (e.g. gathering documentation, supporting schedules).

Maintain accurate filing (electronic / paper) of invoices, contracts, receipts.

Support ad hoc financial tasks and projects as required.

Additional attributes that would be beneficial, but not essential for the role:



Desirable experience using Intelligent Office.

Experience with Xero accounting software.

Strong team-oriented mindset and a desire to contribute to the development of others.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
