Job Role: Finance Assistant (part-time) Location: Remote UK About Ito World Ito World solves transportation challenges across the globe for millions of travellers every day. We work with large journey planners/MaaS companies such as Google and Apple, along with Governments, Transport Authorities and Operators, around the world.
Scope of the role We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced individual to take on the position of Finance Assistant to work within a small and friendly team. It is a part-time role, covering three days a week (Wed-Fri). The main scope of the position is to assist in the day-to-day running of the department. As an SME, Ito World can offer the candidate a wide range of finance related tasks and interesting ad-hoc projects, including:

  • Monitoring of Accounts Inbox
  • Processing Expenses
  • Chasing Debtors
  • Raising sales invoices and submitting to client portals where required
  • Administrator for supplier portals and online banking
  • Inputting into Sage Accounting & Auto Entry - supplier invoice processing
  • Monitoring the supplier invoice approvals process
  • Supplier renewals \xe2\x80\x93 keeping track, along with the negotiation of new contracts
  • Payment of supplier invoices, payroll and expenses on online banking
  • Preparing payroll for closing
  • Year-end administration and reporting
  • Joiner/Leaver/Staff Movements admin, holiday & meetings
  • Responding to staff queries
  • Working with wider teams \xe2\x80\x93 ad-hoc requests, approvals and payroll changes

The successful candidate will be working closely with the Finance Officer to ensure all jobs are completed, and between them, enable 5-day finance administrative support to the Finance Director and wider departments. As the post-holder\xe2\x80\x99s knowledge expands, then more in-depth training and responsibilities will follow, allowing the post-holder to progress.

What it takes:
  • Previous experience of working in a similar Finance related role
  • Microsoft Office Suite \xe2\x80\x93 Intermediate level
  • Educated to A-level or equivalent standard
  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or 4
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Be able to manage workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • The ability to establish and maintain a confidential and sensitive relationship with customers
  • Have the confidence to deal with people both in person and over the telephone
  • Be a good team player, but also able to use own initiative and work independently

Location Although we are a remote first company and this role is fully remote, our preferred candidate will be able to commute to central London on occasion.
