What's The Role?

We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual to join our fast-growing business as a Finance Assistant. The ideal candidate will have experience working in finance, excellent organisational skills, and a keen eye for accuracy. The Finance Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting various financial processes and ensuring the smooth operation of the finance department. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and have key skills to play an active role throughout the Finance Department.

Key responsibilities:

Assist with monthly management accounts with key controls over fixed assets, prepayments and accruals specifically as well as taking an active part throughout other areas of the accounts preparation for Senior Management review Assist in developing and producing financial reports as needed across the business providing valuable financial insight including, but not limited to, budgetary control, review of costs vs trading agreements Assist in external audits for third parties and external audit Financial Management of Brands liaising with internal and external stakeholders Liaise with multiple stakeholders across the business including Commercial & Trading, Operations, Warehousing and People team Assistance with Bank reconciliations, expenses and credit card reconciliations Assistance with purchase ledger queries and ensuring all suppliers are paid accurately and in a timely manner both UK and overseas Assist in monthly reconciliation of supplier statements to ensure the costs are accurately recorded in the accounts for each accounting period end. Ensure all purchase invoices are 3-way matched to the Purchase Order and ASN / GRN. Ensure accurate coding and cost capture of all invoices for reporting purposes Assist in preparation of quarterly UK and bi-monthly Irish VAT returns with potential to develop further with European expansion roll-out Assist in forecasting cash requirements for weekly payments to feed into the weekly rolling cash-flow forecast Ad-hoc work as necessary for Senior leaders including CFO, CEO

AAT Qualified Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial. Comfortable working within a fast paced environment, adapting and evolving as necessary Good understanding of excel - comfortable with use of formulas, PIVOTS, handling mid-large size data files Experience of working with an ERP finance system is preferred but not essential Ability to prioritise and organise your own workload. A team player to work closely with the rest of the Finance Team. Willingness to learn and develop with the role and the Company.
